Your bum doesn’t care if your travels bring you to a rustic privy or a palace.  What matters is how clean and fresh it feels, after nature called for that moment of relief.  Am I right?

Whether your bottom is lovingly described as a bootie, a bum or a butt, it wants to be pampered and feel soothed at all times.

I wanted to know what brand would stand up to the clean and sooth test.  Cottonelle has bragging rights to the following reasons why I use it:  It’s thick and two-ply, so my family won’t use a roll-a-day.  Also it’s strong and huggable softness goes a long way in comfort.

Cottonelle picI always used a wet wipe to make sure my precious grandbaby’s bum was freshly clean.

So I decided it was about time I treated my bum to that same freshly clean feeling too.
CottonelleThe perfect companion for Cottonelle’s Clean Care toilet paper is Cottonelle’s Flushable Cleansing Wipes.

I compiled a list of reasons why I use it at home and take along on our travels:
– Flushable
– Break up after flushing
– Sewer- and septic-safe
– Alcohol-free
– OneTouch dispensing tub

Cottonelle Toilet Paper and Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths were designed to work together for a clean you can actually feel.

  1. Thanks for sharing Neva! I would be a bit worried about it feeling cold 😛

  2. We use the Cottenelle cleansing clothes here. I love how refreshed they make you feel. Thank you for sharing!

  3. I’ve never heard of this brand before… time to check if I can get it in UK

  4. We don’t go anywhere without them!

  5. Oh how I love Cottonelle wipes. I use them all the time.

  6. A rose by any other name would cease to smell so sweet. Perhaps the same is true for a bum not using Cottonelle 🙂 Thanks for the post!

  7. LOVE the Cottonelle brand! Now, I need to try their cleansing cloths!

    • I have also come to love the Cottonelle brand too. I had to try their cleansing cloths to realize how handy these are.

  8. I use these for my little kids (well, I guess my kids use them) since they’re still figuring out how to get really clean down there 😉

    • Kids do everything quickly and training them to get clean “down there” has been a challenge. This is such a great thing to have handy for those oops times.

  9. If I were to say by buying this my family wouldn’t use a roll a day I would be lying! Haha. I wish we didn’t go through a roll a day but sadly… we do, lol

I do love the softness of this brand though! I prefer it over any other brand, that’s for sure.

    • I had to teach my kids how to “spare a square” and not use so much paper each day. I agree that this brand is the softest.

  10. That is a very cute title! Sure caught my attention! I do love cottonelle

  11. I have never used Cottenelle cleansing clothes but we use baby wipes. I might try them since they’re flushable.

  12. Cottonelle is a great brand! Use it for many years!

  13. I use a similar product when I go camping. I HATE that wet ass feeling lol, but yes, they really do work!

  14. I’m trying to potty train my little girl, and I have noticed that regular toilet paper sticks, so I might just have to try this.

    • Good luck with the potty training. If the wipes make her experience more pleasant, this may be helpful in shortening the training time. I’m eager to hear if it helped.

  15. We don’t have the same brand in France but definitely this type of product is popular. They have one called “Fess’Net” which translates to “Clean Bottom”. Sounds nicer in French 🙂

    • Yes, it does sound nicer “Fess’Net” in French. But then the French language always sounded nicer that our English.

  16. Unfortunately we don’t have this brand here, but I absolutely agree with you, and I always say it – I need, deserve and want softness 🙂

    • I agree that we deserve the same degree of pampering softness as our precious babies. Do you have the bidet in your home?

  17. I’ve never heard of those. I’ll have to check them out.

    • Crazy isn’t it that we’ve been taking care of the baby’s bums cleanliness, but not finding out how to take care of ours. I’ll be interested in hearing how you like them.

  18. I will have to give these a try!

    • After reading the information, I also decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did and wondered why I didn’t try them sooner.

  19. I’ve never used them…will have to try! But I do love Cottonelle!

  20. I also love using Cottonelle…

  21. I think wet wipes are a necessity since I don’t believe that you can be clean just from using dry tissue. We have a sprayer hose attached next to our toilet which serves this purpose as well as spraying dirty diapers.

    • That’s interesting that you have a sprayer hose that cleans bums and dirty diapers. Now we know why some countries have bidets.

  22. My husband always jokes how women don’t mind buying the cheapest, nastiest, off-branded toilet paper (at least in my house- I could care less about the softness or quilting or whatever)- so I’ll have to give these a sample for his sake!!!

    • I’m guilty of looking for bargains that do end up being nasty and not worth bargain too. I guess I have learned when it’s a bargain or not worth it as well.

  23. In our previous house in South Africa we had a bidet, but I can see that Cottonelle would be a very useful addition to our bathroom acoutrements!

    • I see bidets in a few upscale hotels, but it does take double the room for porcelain fixtures. I agree that the Cottonelle wipes are quite useful and takes a lot less room.
